Eye Examination
Looking after your eyes is an important part of your overall health. An eye examination not only ensures your best possible vision but helps protect the health of your eyes too. We pride ourselves on the time we can offer YOU, enabling us to truly listen to your needs and concerns and tailor-make the right eye examination.
Your Optometrist-led experience
The whole of your eye examination journey will be led by your optometrist, with all clinical tests being performed by the optometrist themselves, which we believe ensures consistency and accuracy. Much of healthcare today is so impersonal, with little or no continuation of a shared patient-professional relationship that you used to easily build with a healthcare professional. This really saddens us, as we feel this relationship is vital to getting the correct care you need.

Your unique lifestyle and visual needs
We like to get to know you as an individual. You will often be asked as part of your eye examination what hobbies you have, as well as your occupation and the kind of work you do. As well as getting to know you better, this line of questioning also gives us vital information of what you need to ensure your visual demands are met.
Tailored Eye
Examination
We see both NHS and private patients and offer an eye examination to suit all budgets. You’ll attend your eye appointment at least every two years, so be sure to get the best out of your examination. Even if you’re not experiencing a problem, a thorough eye examination can help pick up early signs of change and early detection means we can help manage or treat a condition before it affects you.
Whilst a standard eye examination covers only the very basic of tests required to assess your eyes, we recognise a more thorough and detailed assessment is reassuring and gives peace of mind. Our Premium eye examination uses all the latest in eye health technology and gives the fullest picture of the overall health of your eyes and aids the optometrist in more accurately detecting and diagnosing different eye conditions.

Digital Retinal Photography
Digital retinal photography, whereby 2D images are taken of the back of your eyes, allows a more thorough assessment and images are stored with your file allowing comparison on subsequent eye examinations to better monitor any future changes.

*Optical Coherence Tomography scan
An OCT (optical coherence tomography) scan is a deep dive beneath the surface of the eye. It produces a 3D scan of the back of your eye, separating the layers, giving an even clearer picture of your eye health. It’s useful for the optometrist to have a baseline image on your file so any changes from the ‘norm’ can be alerted to.
