"Sarah took great care with my eye examination. She never rushed me and took time to explain the process to me. Went back 10 days later for my new glasses and I'm over the moon with them. "Firstly, my apologies for the lengthy review, but please do read on. Initial words used to describe Banks Opticians would be ‘outstanding service.’ As someone with -23 sight and requiring complex lenses, normally my annual visit to an optician fills me with dread. Most opticians either don’t have the experience of dealing with such complex requirements or struggle to find manufacturers to then make the lenses for me, usually resulting in me waiting for approximately 4 months before they arrive.

In June 2023 I was looking for a new optician and noted online that Banks Opticians was a family run business with many many years of experience, so I thought let’s give them a try. Well I’m so glad that I did! From the moment that I walked in, I felt that I was in a calm and professional environment. The entire team at Banks are so welcoming and professional. Sarah did a wonderful job of my eye test and we talked about all of my concerns regarding the health of my eyes. Her experience was instantly evident, and she was extremely patient with me.

Paul then had the task of trying to find frames for my complex lens prescription. Trust me, this is never an easy task. Paul talked me through what options were available and ordered some more frames that may be suitable. When I returned to look at the options, Paul had taken the time to actually draw diagrams for me of how my complex lenses would actually look in the frame (literally to the millimetre).

Having chosen a frame,I left expecting to hear from them a few months down the line. I was shocked to get a call within a matter of weeks to say my new glasses were ready. The Banks teams have some great contacts for manufacturers, so my lenses didn;t have to be made in Germany like they normally are, they were made so quickly!

When I arrived to collect my glasses, the whole team was there and they genuinely seemed excited for me to try them on and see whether I was happy with them. I am over the moon with them!!

Sarah and Paul have shown so much care and concern for me, and that's something that is so evident that they show each and every customer. The standards, care, support and professionalism of the whole Banks team is second to none.”
